This historic decision is a clear demonstration of your steadfast commitment to inclusive governance and equal opportunities for all citizens. It has strengthened our confidence that your administration truly believes in the abilities, potential, and contributions of Persons with Disabilities.
These appointments have also sent a powerful message that Persons with Disabilities are not limited to disability-related responsibilities alone but are competent, qualified, and capable of serving effectively in every sector of government. Your visionary leadership has broken barriers and reaffirmed that inclusion means providing equal access to leadership and decision-making positions based on merit, capacity, and dedication. We equally extend our heartfelt gratitude to Her Excellency, Hajiya Safinat Usman Ododo, the First Lady of Kogi State, through her NGO, the Ohunene Empowerment Initiative, for organizing the empowerment and engagement programme held in January 2026, where this request was presented. We are sincerely grateful that our appeal received favorable consideration. We also deeply appreciate Chief Dr. Hajiya Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko, FCNA, FCTI, the Accountant General of Kogi State, for her consistent support, compassion, and active promotion of inclusion for Persons with Disabilities across the state.
