The Zonal Security Adviser to the Governor for the Ankpa Federal Axis, Rt. Hon. Chief Ahmed Mohammed, has attended the 2-Day Kogi Youth Entrepreneurship and Business Grant Programme and International Youth Day Celebration, organized by the Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
The programme brought together youths, government officials, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to promote youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, business development, and economic opportunities for young people across Kogi State.
Speaking on the significance of the programme, Rt. Hon. Chief Ahmed Mohammed commended the Governor of Kogi State for his commitment to youth development and for creating initiatives aimed at empowering young people to become self-reliant and productive members of society.
He also expressed appreciation to the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development for the ministry’s efforts in organizing the programme and providing a platform for young people to gain entrepreneurial knowledge, explore business opportunities, and access potential support through grants.
The Zonal Security Adviser noted that investing in youths is an investment in the future of Kogi State, stressing the need for continued support and collaboration between government and young people.
He encouraged Kogi youths to take advantage of government programmes and empowerment opportunities, develop their entrepreneurial skills, and remain committed to contributing positively to the development of their communities.
Rt. Hon. Chief Ahmed Mohammed further reaffirmed his support for initiatives that promote youth empowerment, peace, security, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development across the Ankpa Federal Axis and Kogi State.
The event ended on a positive note, with participants expressing appreciation for the initiative and calling for more programmes that would provide young people with skills, funding opportunities, mentorship, and platforms to turn their ideas into sustainable businesses.
