The Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly and member representing Ankpa I constituency, RT. HON. Ahmed Mohammed has debunked speculations making the round by some disgruntled elements, blackmailers who are bent on instigating crisis, of an alleged plot to impeach the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, RT. HON. Mathew Kolawole.
The legislator who describes the news being sponsored and peddled on social media as a shock, said there have never been anything like that.
His words; “The social media on Wednesday 18th December, 2019 has been inundated with unsigned fake news story containing essentially rumours of a purported impeachment plot against the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly. I want to set the record straight that, there have never been anything like that and it is a mere rumor which should be discarded by the general public.
is so unfortunate that, some evil ones have decided to devise a means to cause mayhem in the assembly and overheating the polity by sponsoring fake news on the media, alleging that I am the sponsor of a plot to impeach the Speaker.
“As far as we are concerned, as members of the Kogi State house of assembly under the leadership of RT. HON. Mathew Kolawole, we are united, focused, and there have not been any pressure from any where to quit him out of office.
The General public is advised to disregard the news as it is fake. We are not in crisis in any form, no crisis is looming. We remain focus and committed to ensuring that we make effective laws for the betterment of Kogi State under his Excellency Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello.
Signed;
RT. HON. Ahmed Mohammed
Deputy Speaker, KOGI State House of Assembly.
