World Cultural Day: We’ll Use ICT to Harness Kogi Cultural Potentials- Femi Bolaji

Kogi State Government says it will deploy Information and Communication Technology to harness the State Culture and Tourism Potentials.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Culture and Tourism, Mr. Femi Bolaji stated this while speaking with Newsmen on the International Cultural Day in Lokoja.

The International Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development celebrates not only the richness of the world’s cultures, but also the role of intercultural dialogue for achieving peace and sustainable development which the United Nations General Assembly first declared in 2002.

Mr. Bolaji explained that the present administration is bringing innovations and resilience in place for the development of the Culture and Tourism sector.
He noted that efforts are being made to woo Kogi born Entertainers for the development of the sector.
According to him, a part from crude oil, the need to channel human and financial resources to the development of the Cultural sector cannot be overemphasized.
He said the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will adopt Public Private Partnership and partner with traditional rulers for effective utilization of the sector for more revenue generation.
